What is bassmod.dll?
The bassmod.dll is an integral part of the BASSMOD application from Un4seen Developments and is required for BASSMOD to operate correctly.
BASSMOD is a modified and stripped down version of Un4seen Developments BASS audio library playback software for the Windows, Linux, Mac OS, WinCE, and iPhone environments. The modified program uses much less system memory than the original version of the program and is preferable by many people for this reason.
A smaller memory usage allows the entire system to run more quickly and smoothly, especially when the computer has more than one application in use at a time.
BASSMOD uses bassmod.dll to playback MOD music and recording files (XM, IT, S3M, MOD, MTM, UMX) on all platforms and uses the operating system drivers.
This .dll should be located in the BASSMOD software installation directory and no other location.
